Delete your account in the app

Open Cooky and sign in.
Tap You.
Tap Delete account.
Read what will be deleted, then confirm.

You’ll be signed out straight away, and deletion starts at once.

Ask us by email

If you can’t use the app, email support@theivies.in from the email address of the Google or Apple account you sign in to Cooky with, with the subject “Delete my Cooky account”. If you used Sign in with Apple and hid your email address, tell us the name on your Cooky profile instead.

We may ask you to confirm the request before we delete anything, so nobody else can delete your account. We’ll delete it within 30 days of your request and email you when it’s done.

Before you delete

Cancel Cooky Plus in the store. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. On Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
Tell anyone you’ve agreed a stay with. Once your account is deleted, your chats with them are gone.
If you host, your listing comes down straight away and any open requests are closed.

What we delete

Your profile: name, email address, photo and sign-in link to your Google or Apple account.
Your pets’ profiles, including vaccination records and any documents you uploaded.
Your listing, home photos, house rules and rate.
Your requests, chats and reviews: deleted, or de-identified so they can’t be linked to you.
Your notification settings and device tokens.
The link between your account and any Cooky Plus purchase.

What we keep, and for how long

We don’t use anything we keep for any other purpose, and it’s deleted when the time is up.

How long deletion takes

In the app: your account and profile are removed straight away, and everything else listed above within 30 days.
By email: within 30 days of your request.
Backups: deleted data leaves our encrypted backups within a further 35 days.

Delete some data, not your account

You can change your profile and remove listing photos in the app. To delete something else without closing your account, such as a pet profile or a past chat, email support@theivies.in and tell us what to delete. We’ll do it within 30 days.
