Help with Cooky

For help with the app, your account, Cooky Plus or this website, email support@theivies.in. Tell us the email address you use with Cooky, but never send us passwords, one-time codes or payment details. We’ll never ask for them.

To delete your account, see how to delete your Cooky account.

Safety and reports

  • In danger? Call your local emergency number (112 in India and across Europe, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK).
  • A problem with a host, pet parent, home or chat? Use Report on their profile, home or chat in the app. Reports go straight to our team and are private.
  • Someone asked you for money before you’d met? Don’t pay, and report them in the app.

Complaints and privacy requests

For complaints about something on Cooky or a decision we made, and for requests about your personal data, write to:

[Name of the person who handles complaints]
[Company legal name]
[Registered office address]
Email: [Their email address]

Where a law asks us to name a grievance officer, such as India’s IT Rules, 2021, this is that person. Write to them about:

  • anything on Cooky that breaks our terms of use or the law;
  • a decision we made about your account or something you posted;
  • your personal data: to see, correct or delete it, to withdraw consent, or to name someone to act for you.

Please include your name and how to reach you, the email address you use with Cooky, what the complaint is about (a profile name, home or screenshot helps), and what you’d like us to do.

How we handle complaints

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
  • We act on requests to remove unlawful content as quickly as possible, and always within the time the law sets where you are.
  • Anything that exposes someone’s private areas, shows them nude or in a sexual act, or impersonates them, including altered images, is removed within 24 hours of their complaint.
  • Requests about personal data are answered within the time the law that applies to you sets.

If you’re not satisfied

You can complain to the data protection authority or consumer authority where you live. In India, you can also appeal a decision to the Grievance Appellate Committee, within 30 days, through its website at gac.gov.in.

Pet boarding at real homes. Cooky connects pet parents with people nearby who have room at home for a dog or cat. It doesn’t check hosts or take part in stays, and it never handles stay money: you agree the stay with the host and pay them directly.
